To press oil, high quality sulphur-free copras (kernal)are used. These copras are naturally dried in sunlight for a number of days to remove the moisture without adding Sulphur. The copras are then pressed and oil is extracted through a slow cold-pressing machine (Chekku/Ghani/marachekku) at low RPM so that the temperature does not create any heat in the oil. This extraction process does not involve any chemical agents and hence all the natural proteins and vitamins are retained. No preservatives is added during the process. This slow, long drawn process gives our coconut oil the clear transparent look retains nutrients that are immensely beneficial for our immune system.
